Network Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid) 

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to plan, evaluate, design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure in support of organizational efficiency and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. 
Qualifications: 
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
  • Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure and managing VMware networking.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server administration, including DHCP, DNS, AD Certificate Services, and Active Directory.
  • Strong working knowledge of desktop operating systems including Windows OS, Ubuntu Linux, and macOS.
  • Familiarity with authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Perform hands-on, day-to-day administration of the network infrastructure, including reviewing logs, monitoring performance, addressing vulnerabilities, resolving issues, and maintaining documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure team to design, implement, and maintain local and wide area network infrastructure (routers, firewalls, switches, access points, gateways, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and related hardware/software).
  • Maintain inventories of all networking equipment, hardware support contracts, and software licenses, including replacement schedules and equipment lifecycle management.
  • Create and update network documentation and diagrams.
  • Work closely with IT Support and Infrastructure teams to develop and implement network and software standards, updates, maintenance, and patching.
  • Configure and manage network devices using centralized management platforms such as Cisco/Meraki and UniFi cloud portals.
  • Identify and implement innovative and cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for unplanned outages and perform maintenance during scheduled downtime.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
